Ever since I was young, I've loved to travel. I love the feeling of motion, fresh air and genuine experience. One of the things that most astounds me is how simple, yet intricate and complex the world around us is, with every thing held in its fragile balance.
My nature photography has been based on that same feeling of discovery and simple sense of wonder. There are surprises waiting around every mundane corner, but only for those who care to stop and look with a curious eye. With the ever present haste of our daily lives, many, including me, forget to stop and enjoy the simplicity of the world around us. The rewards for those who remind themselves to look are equally simple, but of course, those are the rewards that are, more often than not, the most satisfying. If nothing else, I hope my images remind you to look for what would otherwise remain, under foot stepped.
In Dance and Festival Photography, I have found a means to explore the colorful world of urban bellydance and various dance and physical art forms. Through this I have the opportunity to hone my photographic skills in a demanding atmosphere. At all times I make every effort to capture the essence and energy of the atmosphere around me, as well as reflect the dedication and passion of the dancers, my subjects.
Product Photography has been a challenge. How often does one have the opportunity to really explore and pursue another craftsman's work in the hope of capturing it's spirit. Through product photography, I've taken what I've learned from the outdoors into the studio, documenting the landscapes of another's work and moving towards the essence of the piece they intended to create. I will always strive to display your work or product in it's "best light".
